Shot a deer and do not want to keep it?
Donate your deer to the Southeastern Ohio Food Bank, a program of Hocking, Athens, Perry Community Action in Logan, Ohio.
The Food bank serves 10 counties including Vinton, Jackson, Lawrence,
Gallia, Meigs, Washington, Morgan, Hocking, Athens, and Perry.
Call 1-800-385-6813 for more information or visit www.fhfh.org for
your nearest participating processor and directions to the facility.
Follow these instructions to donate your deer:
Deer must be tagged and registered according to Ohio law.
Drop field dressed deer off to one of listed meat processors.
Write on paperwork:
Donate to SEORFC or Food bank.
Your obligation is complete.
FHFH and HAPCAP SEORFC will pay the processing fee.
Meat processors will contact the food bank to pick up product.
A health inspected meat processor must process venison that is donated.
